I'm curious if this is normal for others

I have a build week of 11/14

I've had the following build dates given to me from Ford

11/18
11/15
11/19 (Todays new date)

These have changed within 2 weeks of one another

Is this normal?

This has been happening a lot since production started, and it’s all due to the unpredictability of the supply chain for the parts needed to build the car. Just as it starts to get better, it seemingly gets hammered again.

I’m trying to get a new security system put into the office — small, just one camera and two electronic door strikes — and the door strikes are on backorder until July 2025. That’s not a typo. Chips for everything are in such demand across the board that we’re going to have this continue for a while, I’m afraid.

I had it lucky; I ordered just early enough that I only had one pushback for a month for delivery while my Mach-E sat at the factory, but it wasn’t too long thereafter that the supply chain woes really started hammering the industry.

When it comes, though, I think you’ll feel it was worth the wait. (I know that provides little solace now, but once I had mine in hand, I forgot all about the lag in delivery.)

Been here since March order date. I don’t have a car yet. From what I have seen these changes are very normal. Consider yourself extra lucky because you got a build date for less than 3 months after you ordered? Wow. You may even get it before end of the year, bonus.!

Yeah I ordered on Aug 29th, with a Scheduled Build Week of 11/14

These numbers have been dancing around for the past 2 weeks

That's horrible on your wait :(

I second that it is probably due to supply chain fulfillment. I also second the feeling when you get the car. We got it on Monday after close to a year wait. The dealer honored the original price even though the MSRP increased by 2K. My wife (her car) was ecstatic. We had a Bolt previously.

But the weird thing is a week before my car got to the dealer I received a notice from Ford saying that the delivery will be delayed a month, whereas the car was already on a truck heading its destination.
