Has anyone had to always pair their phone whenever they start their car? My PaaK works fine. The Ford Pass app is connected to Bluetooth. I can unlock, and start the car with PaaK but cannot make or receive calls through the car until I pair the phone. It may be a coincidence but this has been going on ever since Ford replaced the car’s apim. I did call Ford and the person basically read through the owners manual which I had done on numerous occasions. She finally told me that I could take it to the dealership or just live with it.

Iā€˜m also wondering if it is normal to have two Bluetooth devices for the MME. On my iPhone 12, I have Mustang-Mach E(this device connects when I request the car’s Synch to pair the phone per the owners manual) and the last 5 vin numbers Mach E(this device is Bluetooth connected all the time). Once paired, my phone always stays paired with my other vehicles (A 2018 Edge and a 2017 Cadillac XT5). However it never stays paired with the MME after I shut of the car and leave it. Yet the PaaK continues to work fine.

If anyone has an idea of what I’m doing wrong, please let me know. Otherwise I guess I will go on living with it in the MME. Thank you for any help.

I have 2 Bluetooth connections. One for PaaK the other is for CarPlay. I can only make/receive calls when CarPlay is connected.

Are you using CarPlay? You can’t connect to Bluetooth and CarPlay at the same time.

It always asks me if I want to enable or disable CarPlay after my phone has paired.
