I just had a crash, my car is semi-totaled. A guy tried to do a u-turn on a one-way major highway, from left shoulder to right shoulder, to try to get back to the fork in the road to another major highway. After I’ve dealt with insurance I will assess my options. I have loved my car, so it might well be another MME.

She's cooked. Make his insurance pay for the PPF. Call an attorney if you think you have any injury issues (headache, sore neck, etc). Zero reason to be nice, especially when accident related injuries can take time to manifest. Your only time to start the process for being compensated for something that could affect you for months (or worse years) is now, not months or years from now. Hope you're okay, that looks like a rattling impact.

I managed to brake down to 40mph or so. Cracked sternum and some scrapes, could’ve been much worse. His little Chevy Cruze, and himself, were much worse off.

Cracked sternum sound like no fun at all. Pro tip from my wife from when she cracked a couple ribs a few years ago - hugging a pillow is tremendously helpful if you need to cough, laugh, or the worst: sneeze. Take care. I'm sorry to hear the other driver is in bad shape.

Cracked sternum indicates a BIG energy transfer and a red flag in a trauma center for other and life threatening injuries. Glad you are ok.

Mine had way less damage than that it was totalled. If you think your looking for another MME start the hunt online now, it took me several weeks to replace mine chasing vehicles that were actually in stock.
