Never really noticed this until a couple of days ago. If I'm trying to park in a spot on the street and I'm slowly backing up and then hit the brakes, my car will creak and rock back and forth a bit. Any ideas? Just north of 2,000 miles so hoping it's nothing major.

Hello there! I would like to take a look at your Mach E braking issue. Will you send me a private message with your VIN?

Do you mean right after switching to Park?

If so, mine does the same thing. The park pawl inside the motor/gear housing has a little bit too much play on the gear it latches onto.

I think it's the same for all of us.

If the car detects excessive rocking, it will automatically engage the parking brake. Mine does that sometimes even in my perfectly level garage.

Or you can engage the parking brake yourself. This will prevent the rocking.
