On some 2024 Mach-E's the Battery Charger Control Module (BCCM) may falsely determine that the charge port temperature is heating up too quickly while the vehicle is charging on a Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC). This may cause DC charging to stop unexpectedly. The fix is to reprogram the SOBDM which monitors charge port temps. It will also be sent as an OTA in the next month or two.

Just returned from local dealer where our 2023.5 Premium Extended Range Mach-E was scheduled for some module updates. When about to leave dealership, I was notified they had just receive a notice that Ford recommending new vehicle delivery hold of 2023 and 2024 vehicles until engineering can complete a solution to the lockout condition. We will reschedule service when the updated modules are available.

As below, I had my vehicle into the dealer to update modules (17 not updating) and they discovered this from 3 months ago. They recommended waiting until this is resolved, but it is not clear how they would know it was resolved. Do you think they overreacted?
