Not pulled over, but if you get rear ended it may come back to bite you.

I try not to mess with safety things. I had tinted tail lights and headlight covers decades ago, but I was 17 and didn’t know any better.

I'm 40 and know that they make tint light can pass through that can be applied to darken tail lights without impacting much of the brightness.

Of course you can make your own decision on what to do. Just trying to help you make an informed one if you want to take that risk. Here’s a quote from a tail light tint thread here:

I put down a deposit on a 2021 and will be in the DMG club in the near future. It's a 2 hour drive which isn't too bad. I had to pay $2,000 ADM, but we couldn't find one in stock for less than $2,000 ADM.

Another dealer had $2,000 ADM, but they had a mandatory $1,199 protection package. They wouldn't back off on that because they had others in line to buy it. And it was a 4+ hour drive.

Another dealer wouldn't charge ADM on a Red Select, but he had no idea on its whereabouts and had no timetable on when it would arrive.

I believe some of you have now had your DMG Mach E for a while now. Now that you've had it for a bit, how are you feeling about the color? I'm expecting mine in about two months and am just curious if you're pleased with the color or if you wish you had gone with a different option.

I initially wanted Iconic Silver as I liked that it set off the black accents nicely, but I also love the metallic aspect of the DMG (in sunlight, it seems richer than the Silver). Trying to decide if I should scour for an available Silver or if I'm overthinking this (wouldn't be the first time).

I LOVE the color. It can be very grey at times and almost black at others. The different colors in the metallic flake is amazing. I bought the color sight unseen and I am very happy I did.

TLDR; if you like dark cars you'll love this one.

You won’t be disappointed. It’s the best version of a grey car I’ve ever seen. The low contrast between the black trim and the body give it a very mature, stealthy, elegant appearance. I’ll be posting photos of mine to this thread at some point soon.

Absolutely love it; I also love shades that are very close to black (like Antimatter Blue on the Bronco).

Picked up my DMG Premium SR AWD at Midway Ford here in MN this morning. Alas, it’s already dirty from the winter slop… ?‍

All of the dealer folks were great to work with - no ADM, were ready for Ford Options, and no hard sell for protection package or extended warranty. But I am likely to do ceramic or at least PPF, and also a graphic wrap on the grille - it’s basically the only part of the car I’m not crazy about!

We’ll, I’ve had my DMG for roughly 30 hours now and have noticed many people staring as I’ve driven around Saint Paul. I’m sure some of it’s the fact that MMEs are still fairly rare here but know that the color is a factor, too. It’s so unique - we had some flurries and sunshine at the same time earlier today and it brought out this beautiful blue tone that I know some of you have noted before. Very happy with this choice, and it pairs very nicely with the space gray interior.
