Why didn’t you do the bottom reflectors?

Two reasons:

I don't mind the red. I couldn't stand the white.

If I did those I would have to do the side reflectors to match, which come in the kit. Then I would have to do the front side, to match the rear, which doesn't come in the kit.

Minnesota has strict window tinting laws and so I’d need to check out the rules re tail lights, but yours look really sharp!

Thanks man, the tint kit I purchased was gun smoke from Lamin-x. Here are before and after photos. When the car is running with the turn signal I'm told you can't tell that it's tinted. I know this is a dumb question but not knowing much about cars do you apply the tint from the outside or go inside the taillights?

When they tint the windows it's on the inside. Taillights etc is outside.

Is that your garage that the finished product is pulling out of? If yes, maybe we should start a “living with a ridiculously narrow garage door” thread. ? My house was built in 1887 and I’m pretty sure the garage was built for carriages, and not the horseless kind… Thank goodness for folding side mirrors.

got it, so you did it yourself and it was easy

I used the same color and same kit as @DarkMatter89.

It's not hard, but it's not easy. I'll be honest I think I'm going to order another kit and re-do 2 of the 6 vertical lights because I don't like the way they came out. I'm too much of a perfectionist and the bends are a PITA.

When I did mine I did 1/2 of the car, tested the brake and running lights and couldn't notice a big difference. I wasn't going to go forward with it if I felt it was compromising the lighting and in the end I didn't feel like it was.

All this is, is a tinted PPF that just goes on the outside.

The biggest tip that I could give is cut off the tabs before you apply them and use nitrile gloves so you don't leave fingerprints. they recommend placing them and then cutting the tabs after with a razor blade but that will slightly damage the plastic on the tail lights so I just removed them before with scissors. The tabs are there for fingers, but using gloves eliminates that need.

Lastly, if you ever did get pulled over for it, tell the Officer that you'll remove them right then and there and just pull them off. Avoid the fixit ticket if he's nice.

I used everything but the back up light strip.

I just used the 3 vertical on each side and the turn signal. I didn't do the reflectors.
