I like the red, because I think red and gray go well together. I have seen blue with the white and silvers MachE's which look great, and some have done black on the grabber blue. Even earlier here it looks like someone did more of a neon yellow.

What color would you like to see with the dark gray we have?

You could tell her that Ford replaced your existing calipers with the “correct ones” once the right computer chips arrived…

Or you could try gaslighting her and say they’ve always been the new color.

Or you could say it’s for the kids’ safety - like a Volvo pitch - that is, if you have kids. ?

So I take ZERO credit for the idea, as mkhuffman did this to his white Mach, as you can see that post here. I had been thinking about what I might do and thought this was a great way to do two things; 1) tie into the red brake calipers (as I chose to keep it between the wheel wells and not extend to the bumpers) and 2) create a break line between the black and the Dark gray body color so as to less blend together because it is so dark. I like how it turned out and give him all the credit for coming up with it (I sure would not have).

It is pretty easy to apply if you clean ahead of time and is easy to remove a reapply if you make a mistake, so you can have some fun with. The other exterior things I did was de-badge (easy to do with dental floss and goo gone) and tint just the taillights (though I thoght of making them all red just to tie the red back in in another place).

Yep ordered from here 1/4". Its is 150' of the roll, so if you mess up or anything goes wrong down the line, easy to take off and replace with plenty left over. Being 1/4" also lets you do the curves very easy if you pull it tout enough for a smooth line. To figure it out and feel comfortable I started near the wheel wells first, as they are only 5-8" long, so if I messed up I just reapplied. Then moved onto the doors. The second side went very fast.

Only other thing is to decide the color you want, especially if you change the color of the calipers. Mine remained red, so I ordered Tomato red as the color.
