In anticipation of our first trip in our Mach E, I tried DCFS at at local EA charging station. Plugged in, started charging - no problem, all smooth and easy. However, I noticed that I was not able to monitor the SOC on FordPass, nor does it seem to be possible to stop the charging remotely. Am I doing something wrong, or is that really the state of affairs? if so, it means that when charging during our trip we would not be able to leave the car and have a bite, especially since I do not want to charge past 80%. BTW, I did not use the EA app since I still have the full complimentary 250 kWh. Does the EA app provide any remote monitoring/control?

Any comments from experienced travelers?

Do you see the charge status in FordPass when you charge on Level 2?
Yes, I do. I just did notice that notwithstanding that I drove the car to the charging station and back, FordPass claims that my car is asleep, Could that be the problem? I was able to clear that state using remote start and then noticed that I have FordPass 4.18.0 and that is there a new release, 4.18.1. I will update FP and hope that this will clear up the remote control issue, if indeed that capability exist for DCFS.

Haven't used Plug and Charge for months, but I believe you could stop remotely. Keep in mind that after a certain number of minutes, EA will charge a penalty per minute of idle time. IMO, people shouldn't be leaving cars and charging, we always alternate leaving. Then again, we don't buy meals, we bring our meals.

Yes, EA app has remote ability to stop, when you're using EA (and not Plug and Charge), and same thing goes about penalty minutes.

I think that's the FordPass bug where it doesn't update. Your current status should be correct on the Vehicle screen in FordPass.
