Strange. Just got the January security update yesterday on Pixel 9 Pro. PAAK worked twice yesterday but this morning despite a phone restart PAAK refused to work. Have never had an issue like that at any point, even with this communication from Ford last month.
Same, except my phone is a P8P. PaaK worked fine after installing the January update and rebooting a couple days ago. But PaaK does not work at all ever since. Seemed strange to me, too.

Maybe we need to delete PaaK and set it up again on the phone. Sounds like that works for some people.

When I got the December update it killed my paak, I tried to uninstall and reinstall but no luck paak would not work. I received my January update yesterday and today I setup paak again and it was so much faster setting it up. So far it's been working perfectly.

My PAAK is working as of 1/24/25!! First, I finally got the update from Samsung for my phone to load. The release from Verizon kept getting 407 error messages while failing to load, so I hooked up my S23Ultra to my PC with a USB cable and used the Samsung software to upload the update. Also, I found that my car had gotten an update to the firmware overnight. The combo worked! I didn't have to reload the ford app or anything, it just worked this morning. Yeah!!

And continuing to work. I've used PAAK since I received my Mach-E, so this was a real relief to get it working again without "resetting your phone to factory" or "resetting everything in your Mach-E" or "pick any over the top suggestion." Note that I recommend you set up your lost key logins.

I don't know if it just me but I feel that phone as a key is working better than ever before. Can it be they took the opportunity while it was broken after the December update to update other things and make everything work better?

I agree, it seems to make a quicker connection.

Im still receiving lvb drain messages today. I usually get them on the phone this morning it was on the car screen. Today i went ahead and removed the paak from my phone let's see if i keep getting the lvb drains message. It could be that its too sensitive now and it picks up my phone while I walk around the house.

Yes, my phone says it's trying to connect to my car and sometimes it does -- my garage is separated from the house by about 50 feet. Try logging out from Ford Pass on your phone when you are in your house and see if that makes a difference. Note you don't need to remove it, just log out.

Last night I removed paak from from my phone and went back to using the key fob, im going to keep it this way for a week or two if I don't see lvb drain alerts then I know it was the paak draining the battery I will then try your suggestion.

Thanks

Im still using the key fob and no more lvb drain messages, im pretty sure its the paak activating the car every time I walked close to the garage door even when I'm still in the house. It looks like I will keep using the key fob.

I have an S24 ultra just had an update a few days ago with no issue.

It appears I already have another one with that security patch level. I'll apply it now and see if I have any issues after and report back.
Anyone else having issues with Bluetooth connectivity after updating Android this month?

My OS updated this morning after driving to work. Go out this afternoon and PaaK will not work. I restarted my phone and BT connected and Android Auto works just fine. Get home and attempt to start the car again...same thing, phone is "connecting" and will not start the car. Restart again, connects long enough to start the car and then "connecting" again. AA works the whole time, phone shows BT connected to car, nothing else affected except for automatically unlocking and then starting the car. Really frustrating and almost got stuck at work this afternoon. Pics below of FordPass screen and Android info.

There are at least three major companies making phones and many different models. Updates to the phone and updates by Ford are not coordinated.
That's why I would never use a phone-as-a-key.
I have a four year old Apple SE that lost connectivity for close to a year.
It now connects over Bluetooth. When I couldn't connect I used the USB port and that always worked. Ford can't possibly guarantee that their updates won't clash with the phone updates.

I started using paak for a short while but I was getting lvb drain messages so I'm just using the key fob and I'm not sure if I will go back to paak. I think it's great and i think after the new update I think it's working better but it might be too good. I also disabled the welcome lights on the car.
