I'm not one to say Ford sucks, but is there any other car (or any other device, for that matter) that lost functionality with Samsung phones besides the Mach-E? Did the Lightning lose PAAK?

If the answer is no, I still think the blame lies with Ford's implementation of PAAK on the MME more than anything else.

That being said, I was holding out hope that this snafu would cause Ford to redo it's PAAK implementation, adding some robustness where "No Key Detected" became a thing of the past. But if the fix isn't coming from a Fordpass update then I'm losing hope that improvements will ever happen.

Unfortunately I'm reading that my S22+ is ineligible for the One UI 7 Beta. I'll have to wait till February for the stable release unless a separate security patch goes out.

Hey everyone, my OnePlus open just got android 15 it also shows December security patch. I can report no issues other than the lastest update to the Sirius app now just randomly starts. Surprise music when you least expect it and it's not even close to April 1st.A side note I gave up a PAAK a long time ago so I don't know if that is having issues.
The issue is limited to Samsung devices

What if there are reports of multiple Bluetooth LE devices that experienced connectivity issues after the Samsung update?

PAAK isn't the only use of that technology and there were a few posts here on the forum that stated other manufacturered products that were impacted similarly to the Mach-E PAAK.

I'm not saying Ford couldn't make changes on their end that would have been immune to the Samsung update. But ONLY Specific Samsung devices experienced the issue. PAAK works with IPhone and all other Android smartphones. Why would Ford see this coming and be prepared?

I decided to Google when samsung will release android 15 to S23s and this is what the google AI answered. Felt like Ford and its "soon" statements lol.
Thoughtful. Backend. Process.

I heard probably Feb., after the S25 phones are released. There will only be beta for S24 phones.

Just got the January 1 security update on my Samsung S24 Ultra. Good news is that PAAK is working again!

This is with the regular software and NOT the UI7 beta. Hope this fixes it for others.
Same here - S24+

Also got the update this morning, installed it but didn't have time to try it out before heading off to work. I did get prompted to install a backup passcode again after Ford support in their infinite wisdom told me to delete my PAAK which killed that backup code. So that's a good sign that things might be back to normal and I can hang back up my key fob. I'll try this afternoon to open the car and start it with just the phone and report back.

Got the January security update for my S24 Ultra this morning. After resetting PaaK and redoing the setup process, I am happy to say that PaaK finally works again on my '24 GT. This was so frustrating, I had to break into my house two weeks ago to get my car key because PaaK stopped working while out eating breakfast with my family. I have a smartlock for my front door now.
