There is a Denver Mach-E Meetup at Moru Coffee in Southeast Denver on August 28th at 9:30am. We're hoping to have a decent size group of Mach-Es. Ideally, we'll have all the colors and trims represented!

Am I right in assuming that was Blucifer Twocifer in the Out of Spec video about all the EVs?

Kyle doesn't like the MME, but does love the ID4, so it really is to each his own. Do you think as you let him drive BT he starts to change his mind. GTPE has wider tires and better grip. I bet the very skinny tires on the original effect the handling etc. when comparing to the Ionic5 or EV6 with the wider grippier tires.

Yep, that was Blucifer Twocifer. Kyle really liked the GT PE in his original video and he is one of the biggest reasons I bought it. But he loves the latest and greatest thing so right now that's the Ioniq 5. And he thinks the ID.4 is a great value. It is, but I think it also feels cheap.

We just drove the EV6 and GV60 today. They are pretty great and compare well to the Mach-E Premium. Of course, they just lost the federal tax credit so that is a huge negative.

There's a chance he may drive our GT this weekend. He has the GV60 for a few days so I wouldn't be surprised if he did another comparison video. He also wants to do his Hogback Challenge in our car. He was going to swap his Plaid for the Mach-E to do the test, but now that's broken. Maybe we'll still do it but borrow the Rivian instead. What fun choices!

Just don't let a 6'5" person drive Blucifer Twocifer with their 6'5" family member sitting behind them.... :)

Have you all noticed any difference having the larger tires? Kyle's, and lots of others, have noted the 225s versus the 255s on EV6 and Ionic5. Can you tell if the GTPE tires make a real world difference?

My plan awhile back was to offer Kyle my MME or Tesla model Y Performance whenever he might want to test with them. But after seeing how ALL his cars are being broken and crashed; Nope. Not a chance. How could you recklessly drive and crash a $150,000 car?

That said, his issue with the MME is that it's rear end is CRAP. And it is. It's loosey/goosey. If you go for a REAL drive through high speed corners you'll feel what he's talking about. I did on my way back through the rockies to Denver from Las Vegas. It was dark and I was trying to hold the speed limit and it just felt REALLY dangerous because the rear end feels like it's gonna come out. Better sway bars and wider tires help. Don't expect the magneride does much for that though.

Sub note: The rear end feeling of loosey/goosey might be a Mustang thing but I'd argue the new GT500's for instance do NOT do that.

In the GTPE with wider tires and different suspension (including MagneRide), it is a really solid handling car on twisty roads.

As for the Plaid crash... it was Jordan driving it at the time. ?

True; but that's still par for the course as they are essentially one entity, Out of Spec. I fear what their insurance scheme is.

True. At the media drive yesterday with a bunch of cars including the EV6 and GV60 as well as the Nissan Z, you could tell when Kyle or Jordan were taking off for their turn.

Thanks for scheduling the meet-up! I'm glad I was finally able to make one, and it was fun seeing so many MachEs in one place. For anyone who was there, I was the one with the Star White Premium and the two-year old (who loved the stickers and pom-poms, btw - she had a much better time at a car meetup with a bunch of adults than I would have thought).

Hard to talk cars too much while wrangling the little one, but on a future meetup I'd be happy to chat FDRS updates, ForSCAN, ODB-II monitoring and datalogging, TPMS programing, or any other techy things that might come up.

I'd love that! I would love to dive into the tech stuff a bit more!

I'm glad your daughter had a good time all things considered. A bunch of big kids hanging out in the parking lot and talking cars isn't the ideal playground!

And I was the one with the bright blue Ford that wasn't a MachE. It was great to meet all of you and I I'm looking forward to a future meetup where I can bring another DMG to the party.
