I have a 2022 Premium AWD ER, and even with the software update I cannot find a way to put the speedometer in the middle of the screen. I do not see the OFF setting for the pre-collision distance indicator in my settings. I've tried every variation in the "Drivers Assistance" section, but still nothing. Very frustrating!! 😡😡😡
My crude attempt at a screen print.
Mine was in the dropdown under the Pre-Collision Assist. A call to the Ford Customer Relations rep may be in order if you don't have this as I think it is a standard feature.

Thank you for getting back to me, but I am not seeing that ‘Distance Indicator’. See below. I may call Ford. Thank you again!

It’s coming. You’ll have to turn all the ADAS off to see the OG speedometer though.
Turn off all the driving tech so you can have your speedo moved and inch to the left ....... Why would you do that???

Personally I don't want to turn off all the ADAS. Besides, I <gasp>don't care if the speed is on the right<gasp>.
I'm with you. I don't get the whole speedometer thing and I probably wouldn't buy a technology driven vehicle to turn off tech. This whole thing never made any sense to me

OK...so it is fixed and here is the (odd) solution: I had to delete my profile. When I used a different key fob to unlock the car I was able to see the 'Distance Indication" setting and the speedometer was in the middle of the instrument cluster. IF I then clicked on my main profile, the speedometer was pushed to the right and I did not see the "Distance Indication" setting. Very strange. So I deleted my profile, then created a new one for my phone/fob and everything worked perfectly. Finally.:clap::clap:

I’m not sure just how to tell you this, but there’s zero requirement for you turn off an Adas features if you don’t want to. You want ACC or BCHF on in their full glory? Go for it. Nobody is going to look down on you for that (Well, no one that counts.). Others, though, like driving the car and think it’s far more fun with Adas off. So they can do that too.

As for the speed and Adas status, some people have a hard time seeing the speed readout when it’s in its far right position. Others, like myself, can only see part of the speed when our seat is adjusted properly or comfortably.

As for your lack of understanding, there’s nothing for you to understand.

Simple, some of us want both...all the features, and the speedometer centered.

And some of us don't really care where the speed is indicated on the screen, as long as it is. :)

Pfft. If you can see the speed how are you going to answer the cop when he asks,

“Do you have any idea how fast you were going?”

“Yes, 93, … Sir.”
“Step out of the car.”

With an off centered speed that is hard to see your conversation could go like this,

“Do you have any idea how fast you were going?”

“No sir! How fast was I going?”

“93”

“Cool! I mean, uh, but it’s Ford’s fault. The speed is obscured because it’s off to the side.”

“In a 35 zone.”

“Way cool! I mean, umm, really? Ford should really fix this thing.”

I’m sure we’d all prefer the latter scenario. Besides, it’s why they pay Bill Ford the big bucks. :p

Regardless, it’s a computer screen, so we should have the ability to arrange graphics as we chose. We do it on our computers, phones and watches, why not our cars?

The Officer will instruct you to adjust the steering wheel to a position where you can see the speed. I guess you could tell the judge that you don't like the steering wheel in a position where you can see the speed but he would probably say that you can pay the fine if you don't want to know how fast you're going.
