The Officer will instruct you to adjust the steering wheel to a position where you can see the speed. I guess you could tell the judge that you don't like the steering wheel in a position where you can see the speed but he would probably say that you can pay the fine if you don't want to know how fast you're going.

Regardless, it’s a computer screen, so we should have the ability to arrange graphics as we chose. We do it on our computers, phones and watches, why not our cars?

To John: I’d say 8 pages of comments (at this point) is rankling many feathers.
But I haven’t made over 1,700 comments - so I must defer to your vast knowledge.

OK...so it is fixed and here is the (odd) solution: I had to delete my profile. When I used a different key fob to unlock the car I was able to see the 'Distance Indication" setting and the speedometer was in the middle of the instrument cluster. IF I then clicked on my main profile, the speedometer was pushed to the right and I did not see the "Distance Indication" setting. Very strange. So I deleted my profile, then created a new one for my phone/fob and everything worked perfectly. Finally.

What model year? I have a 2025 and my settings look like your screenshot

You need to choose between displays is all. There are very legitimate reasons for having Adas status displayed while using those features. If you’re not using those features, or spend most of your driving on roads where they won’t work, or are haphazardly working, due to road configuration, then having Adas status always displayed is literally meaningless.

I have a 2022 Premium AWD. With my new profile working, I now have the speedometer in the middle of the instrument cluster. BUT when I now go to settings, I NO LONGER SEE the 'Distance Indication" setting. Strange.

I’m not sure just how to tell you this, but there’s zero requirement for you turn off an Adas features if you don’t want to. You want ACC or BCHF on in their full glory? Go for it. Nobody is going to look down on you for that (Well, no one that counts.). Others, though, like driving the car and think it’s far more fun with Adas off. So they can do that too.

As for the speed and Adas status, some people have a hard time seeing the speed readout when it’s in its far right position. Others, like myself, can only see part of the speed when our seat is adjusted properly or comfortably.

As for your lack of understanding, there’s nothing for you to understand.

It really is difficult for some people to comprehend that others may have equally valid reasons for preferring one display style over the other.

For me it's not even about the speedometer position (although I am in the camp that has difficulty seeing it on the side because of how I hold my steering wheel). I drive in Unbridle. I love the animations. They're far more aesthetically pleasing than a non-functional static car icon. It makes my driving experience more pleasant.

Funny quirk I noticed: in Whisper and Unbridle modes, there’s no battery bar at the bottom of the screen… but in Engage mode it pops up showing the SoC.

It’s always been that way. There is a percentage display instead. On top of that, there have been numerous complaints about the mere existence of the battery bar. Seriously.

I just got "PowerUp Update 6.8" - says for improved instrument cluster. But Ford made it a CLUSTER.

Put the darn speedo back to center!!! (Nothing moves it to center with this update)

Why does Ford not allow any customization of our displays. Its absurd.

Our car "screens" are far more complex than any home PC.

And at this price point, its difficult to name OEM's who to not allow customization. Heck, my 2018 Accord allows more...A LOT MORE!
