Does anyone know how to remove the open hood latch?

This person has removed the release handle. That’s what I looking for. Going to give it a shot.

I did that . Super easy. Just remember when you put it back, the little piece falls out a few times and you have to try again (and find it in the kick panel space). I recommend some petroleum jelly or something to hold it in place so you can push it back into place.

I had to put a piece of sewing thread through the hole in the middle of the tab then wrap around, sort of hold it from falling. Tried a few times then done.
