I think it depends on your issue. The magnaride shock in my 2013 MKZ had a spring mount that the welds broke loose. That's a failure and was covered.I can’t tell from the brochure does anyone know if the extended warranty covers magnaride or is that considered a wear maintenance item?
MagneRide is just shocks/struts filled with magnetorheological fluid. They should be covered unless expressly excluded in the coverage.I can’t tell from the brochure does anyone know if the extended warranty covers magnaride or is that considered a wear maintenance item?
Would they be considered “shock absorbers”MagneRide is just shocks/struts filled with magnetorheological fluid. They should be covered unless expressly excluded in the coverage.
Yes. There are also electronics involved in the sensing and control system, but those should be covered along with the shocks. ??Would they be considered “shock absorbers”

Looks like the shocks might not be covered then as they would be deemed maintenance items if the fall under the shock absorber category.Yes. There are also electronics involved in the sensing and control system, but those should be covered along with the shocks. ??
