Does ordering interior protection package risk delaying my Mach E?

Last Saturday (1/8/22) the order for my 2022 Mach E Premium extended range AWD was placed into the Ford ordering system. I have been enjoying the Mach E Forum and reading/learning about everyone's experience. One youtube video claimed that your Mach E could be delayed up to a month if you order it with the interior protection package (a.k.a. floor mats).

Has anyone experienced this and do you recommend I go back to the dealership and have them yank that option? Thanks for any thoughts you may have!

I can't imagine that, but if anything is supply constricted the dealer knows.

When I got mine in July, they had them in inventory at the dealer when I picked up the car.

I added the interior protection package to my Select (after ordering but I believe prior to the dealership accepting it). I ordered late November and already have a build date. I think the bigger factor on how long it takes to get a production date is the trim and battery options.
