So, despite me researching the PDI and inspecting the car as best I could at the dealership the PDI process is incomplete.

I specifically asked if the transport suspension blocks had been removed and indicated that numerous UK dealers had been missing them. I was assured all was complete and in order.

I checked the arches and couldn't see anything.

Just left the driveway this morning to a loud knocking on the front offside...strange.

Checked wheel arch at destination and low and behold......skin tone coloured block has half dislodged from spring and is fouling wheel arch liner.

2 lessons. Don't trust your dealer and the blocks might not be obvious without putting the car on a ramp. I can't see anything on the nearside but undoubtedly there is one there which is obscured from sight.

Called dealer, uninterested. Nobody in service on a Saturday, they open Monday.

Ah, bummer. Note to self: Bring inspection mirror along with torque wrench, sockets, screwdrivers.

This has been mentioned a few times as happening to people - were they all in the UK? That would be a weird coincidence.

I think it has to do with the way they prep them to go by boat, so it will really only impact non North American deliveries

Yes, it's the European cars which are delivered by sea which are affected.

Don't wait for your dealer, jack it up and pull them out. Takes five minutes.

That makes perfect sense.

It also means @Kamuelaflyer got lucky. ?
I kept mine as souvenirs. :p

I checked rather carefully as well. Plus those bound for the 50th state spend most of their journey on trains (or in a parking lot in San Diego). I honestly doubt there’s much difference in prep for shipment.
