I have a 2021 Mach E Select. Mileage is 31000. Just recently when I walk up to the vehicle, with my key fob, the mirrors return to normal position but when I push the button, the door doesn't unlock. I either have to use the key fob or use the # code on the door sill.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a simple fix (did I push a wrong button in Sync)? Or do I need to take it to a dealer?
Thanks, HONHME

What happens if you press the button a second time?
Do all of the door buttons act the same or just the driver's door?
Is the ring light around the door button lit up like normal?

Not that I have a solution for you but these might help narrow down the issue.

I have only tried the driver's side, both front and rear door. The button does not light up when I push it. I don't recall if I pushed it more than once, but will check later today when I go back out to the car. Thanks

I had this problem. In my case it was only the driver's door. The rear doors and the front passenger door worked properly.
When I inquired on this list, someone stated you needed to pull a fuse and return the fuse to reset the circuit. They did not know which fuse though. Maybe a previous thread has it.
In my case, I was all ready going to the dealer for a recall so I added it to my list of problems. Apparently, the recall work did the work because their comments on the receipt suggested they did not find the problem. The locks worked afterwards.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Is a private message different from using this thread? If so, probably need some advice on how to do that. Thanks

This just started happening with my 2021 job 1 MachE. I walk up - paak/phone or with fob, and the lights come on and the driver's unlock button lights, but pushing it does nothing (even multiple pushes)

If I walk up to the passenger side, it lights up and the button works correctly.

But not on drivers side. Never works since about 7 days ago. Consistently.

I have noticed that while my phone/paak or fob do not let the button work I CAN enter my door code and then the button works.

I haven't received any updates since late november/december-ish. Last I knew, I was at ppweup 6.6 or 6.7 (or whatever is before the frunk fix)

So after a week of the driver door not unlocking when pressed, I recharged the car last night. It still didn't work this morning before I drove to the gym, but it worked after that just fine.

Before this, the car was sitting at around 25% SOC. Now it's 90% after charging.

I'm wondering if this is in fact related to the level of the 12V battery? I know that while recharging the HV battery doesn't immediately charge the 12V battery, when I run the car after a charge and have a high SOC, maybe it is?

Either way, I suppose I'm happy my door works again, but not thrilled that its so "mysterious"

After my most recent OTA update (which included the ability to use Tesla), the door is not working as before. As I approach with my key fob, the door unlocks and I can open it.
