I have an iPhone set up as a key. It manually works great. But when I have it active and I try to push the button to open the door it does not automatically unlock. I have to manually go into the Ford Ap and unlock the doors. I have the option selected to lock the doors when I get out of the car and walk away.

My perfect scenario would be that when I get out of the car and walk away it locks but when I later approach the car with the iPhone as a key it would unlock. What settings do I need to adjust to make this happen?

Thanks
David

That’s not normal. By default it should open when you press the button on the door. I don’t know of a setting that turns that off. Proximity unlock is not available on the Mach E - you have to press the button on the door to unlock and open it.

Assuming you added PAAK correctly, restart your phone and see if that helps.
I’ve been using that exclusively for 3 years with no issues

On Android FP has to be setup for location always available. I don't know about Apple.

May be a silly question, but... Is your phone in your back pocket? Sometimes if my phone is in my back pocket I have to turn a bit sideways so the phone is a wee bit closer to the car/door.
