Driver door latch won’t go in!

Tried to push it and I have been trying this for about half hour. I don’t have a screw driver that’s the same width as the latch and I’m stuck. Any ideas what I could do here?

This is happened before but to the driver rear passenger door and it went in quick.

Push it in with your hand. Push harder

This has happened to me several times. And the best solution is something I read on this forum. Gently close the door until the popper is touching the frame of the vehicle. Then you want to lean your body, maybe a shoulder or butt into the door and push against the door with all of your weight. The popper should push in and the door should fully close.
