Just got my notification for the update. Looks like it's coming out for non-EA cars.

Just got this on my 2023.5 Premium. Took about 40 minutes.
I never use blue cruise and rarely use regular cruise.

Do we know when these software images went into production? Just kind of wondering about which 2024s didn’t leave the factory with them. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ©

It tried to install automatically overnight (1am) but failed saying something else interrupted it.

I decided to initiate the update again this morning after charging for only 5 minutes. I checked my 12V SoC and it was at 87% but it was at 86% after the 120 second countdown before starting. My stopwatch says it took about 10.5 minutes from that point to completely finish. My 12V SoC ended up at 82%.

So the 55 minutes mentioned by the update itself

and the 40 minutes mentioned here both seem exaggerated.
How do you initiate an update again once it has failed? I had one fail and it simply said Ford would push it again later.

If an OTA fails, Ford’s servers usually retry a few times. If these attempts all fail it’s usually a few weeks before they try again. šŸ¤”šŸ©

My 2024 got the update, but only for the camera glitch. I never had the 1 MPH thing, for example. So (in my case, anyway), the 2024 had the fixes to the driver info display, but not the camera.

23.5 non EA. Received availability notice this AM. Just installed it via the install now option from the car. The installation was successful. Not including the 120 second countdown, the install was ~ 11+/- minutes. LVB SOC 73% beginning, 71% at completion.

(LVB side story. Was about 61-% SOC before a short drive this morning. Back in home garage at 67. Put the CTEK charger/tender on. After it reached stage 7 float I checked Car Scanner which displayed the 73%. I left the CTEK on and started the update. After update went to the ā€œpreparing updateā€ mode I re-checked CTEK. It had reverted to stage 3 bulk charging. From that I inferred the OTA was sucking juice feom the LVB and the CTEK was backfilling the draw. Car Scanner LVB SOC at completion was 71%.

This is the same approach I took with the successful IPC speedo/etc OTA in July. It seems to work for me and the car hasn’t given me any warnings or grief over the process. The usual concerns about doing OTAs in a secure location apply since, as I recall, alarms etc may be inactive during an OTA.)
