From Electrify American Facebook post:

Tomorrow starts today. Electrify America has entered into a virtual power purchase agreement with developer Terra-Gen to build a 75 MW solar photovoltaic project. Once completed in 2023, the energy generated annually at Electrify America Solar Glow™ 1 is projected to more than offset the energy we provide annually to all the EV drivers on our network today.

In fact, our charging network is already backed by 100% renewable energy. Starting now, when you charge with Electrify America, your energy carbon footprint will be net zero. Their email also explained that they are carbon-neutral because they purchased carbon credits. ??

"Virtual power purchase agreement with developer Terra-Gen to build a 75 MW solar photovoltaic project" is an awful fancy way of saying they bought carbon credits from a company that hasn't built their solar fields yet ?

Seems like EA is trying to do everything EXCEPT install more chargers.
