Hey all.

Ive searched this forum, to no avail, for the exact message in the thread title, which is what my wife got tonight, driving the Mach-E back home. We just had Yesterday, full software updates done at the dealer, as well as having the 12V battery replaced… and today this message, instructing her to stop safely and call a dealer if the error persisted.

Luckily, after stopping the car and walking away for 5-10 minutes, the message had disappeared and she was able to drive home.

Can anybody give me any insight into what I’m up against? I’ll be calling my dealer tomorrow but any help here would be appreciated.

It'd be interesting to see what codes the car currently has.
Do you have Forscan or a code harvesting smartphone app?

I could not tell you how to search for it but I have read about this happening a few other times. Popped up once and never came back. Even cleared with a short duration shut down. My guess is it will not reoccur but it would not hurt to call the dealer.

I don't have a wireless scanner but I do have an old fashioned OBD2 scanner. I will try it to see if I get anything worthwhile in return. I'll report back if I'm successful.

SO I just plugged in my old school ODB2 reader and it found nothing. I'll call the dealer as soon as they open up and report back if anything. Thanks.

If no codes were present, it was probably a communication error between the various modules that caused the car to freak out and throw the SSN. Do have the dealer check it out, but if that’s the issue it likely won return and they prob won’t find anything. ??

Dealer told me as much and to go see them if the error reappears. Gonna roll the dice here

It is a rather "generic" alert/warning on electrified Ford's. Can be so many things, ranging from a momentary software Oops, to uhoh, gonna need a tow. :)

Scary though, the first time you see it with your own eyes.

Yep. Kind of like the Check Engine light. It could come on because you blew it up, or it could come on because you dumped the clutch too quick. ?‍♂?
