2022 Mach-E Premium AWD extended
Hi there,

I’m day 1 into my (used) 2022 Mach-E Premium AWD and took it through a conveyer car-wash. Put the car in neutral, turned off auto-hold and enjoyed the ride.

Upon exiting I turned the dial to drive and the car didn’t seem to respond and I got a one pedal drive error, followed by a powertrain error in the FordPass app. The car was in limp mode then after turning off and on drove fine.

Got home, locked the car popped inside and back out and now the service light has vanished and car seems fine.

I’ve read about a ‘gear shift bug’ when going N to D without putting foot on the break, or figured a sensor didn’t like the car wash.

Hoping someone can help!! Thanks in advance.

I googled taking the Mach E through a car wash before I did it for the first time. One of the posts on the subject suggested that you turn off the 1 pedal driving before going through the car wash. I do that and have no issues with an error. You have to make sure you apply the brakes appropriately and not mistakenly use 1 pedal driving out of habit. When I am completely through the car wash I turn the one pedal driving back on.
