Enter Passcode Prompt

Hey all, as the secondary driver of the MME, I do not carry a FOB and (at times) do not have my phone on my person to use PaaK. I have been using the door code to enter the vehicle and then the passcode on the display to start the car. I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced a delay in the passcode prompt becoming available and if there is any way it can be immediately accessed. Seems like it takes a while to show itself. I have never had an issue using this method, just want to check if there is any way to immediately get the prompt.

No way that I know of. And I’ve been trapped for over an hour at times hoping the passcode prompt will show. Number one reason I carry a fob. If the passcode showing up was reliable, I wouldn’t worry about PAAK not being recognized at times.

Never had a problem with using passcode..and it usually comes up within a few minutes at the latest. To put things in better context, when I go out with MME, I usually have my phone and use PaaK, but there are times (usually when out in the yard or garage) when phone is not with me and I need to gain access to the car or to move it for washing or it is in the way. There have been times PaaK has not responded and I use entry code then passcode. Those would be the use cases.

Passcode prompt shows up shows up pretty much as soon as the sync system is finished booting for me. My only issue is that CarPlay will sometimes make the passcode disappear.

Yeah, nothing happens if you don’t push the button. Well I haven’t noticed anything lol
