I typically get 3.7-3.9 mi/KWh for general highway driving.
That is a fair bit over the EPA rating on a full charge so I'm guessing you have a sensor problem if it is showing numbers like that. Not unachievable in rare conditions but certainly not on the highway unless the whole trip is downhill with a tailwind.

Do you keep the SOC added for each of your trips in the trip log? Does the math show 3.7-3.9 mi/KWh or is that what the car is telling you?

Also, you mention 100% SOC - do you charge to 100% all the time? How far can you drive before it comes off 100%? Maybe set your target SOC to 90% and see what the numbers tell you.

I mostly charge to 80% and operate between 40-80% SOC. I occasionally charge to 100% and if I am preparing for a long trip. I have also done so in trying to understand the current behavior.

The EPA EV Range is an expectation based on a much broader set of driving conditions than I encounter in California.

I have only recently started a more detailed log. I now set trip 1 on a per charge period while I have never reset Trip 2. The miles/KWH is what I typically would see for trip 1 and 2 on the trip screen and was the same mi/KWh range for three different vehicles, a 2021, 2022, and 2023, before this current problem arose. Based on the poll so far, most people are not seeing this problem.

In the summer of 2023 I took about a 500 miles trip in the 2022 vehicle from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe and Reno and back. The elevation change at various time is ~7,000 ft. 3.7 mi/KWh was a good representation for that trip. That implies a full charge range of 333.

I will gather more data. I appreciate the feedback from everyone.

Note: The 2022 was destroyed in an accident I posted
