Not on purpose. A mix of just busy and their complete incompetency. I've had it scheduled twice. Yet here we are....
Find another dealer if you can. I can empathize as it took me over a year to get the only dealer on this rock to do mine and at that it also took prodding from some people at Ford. The HVBJB fix is a 1 day thing, your car won’t be down long and then this high tech Sword of Damocles won’t be dangling over your car.

Get the glass done too if you haven’t either. Turns out my early build 21 was a poster child for why there was a recall.

I had the exact same thing on my 23.5 yesterday. 0845 central preconditioned time but At 0830 I received a charge fault, unplugged and plugged in and all appeared normal, app said it was ready at 845 but car was cold and when I pushed start, panel lit up with cautions and warnings to include stop safely now. Jumped in my Explorer for my errands then later checked MME, no lights, warnings, no mention in the app of an issue, HVB had charged the night before as scheduled. Removed 12volt charged and tested it, all was good and this morning car was ready for departure as scheduled ?‍♂

I mean if you want to charge up the 12V battery and then try to jump start it too for good measure while pressing the start button, you can. If you still have a stop safely now error and can't get READY status then it's pretty definitive.

The stuck contactor can also be triggered outside of driving when charging starts or stops since that is also switching contactors.
Any idea why after letting it sit for a couple days it started up like nothing was wrong? I had decided to see if I could clear any codes. While I'm waiting for my odb to connect I realized there were no warning lights. I checked and my odb link picked up no error codes and it started like nothing was wrong. Also charges just fine too. It goes in Thursday, but this is driving me crazy. ?

Somebody or something cleared the codes, they won't find anything. You should just follow through with the appointment to get the 23S56 recall replacement of the HVBJB completed.

The HVBJB contactors will likely stick again at some point. Reminder - they can get stuck intermittently and cause intermittent problems.

I cleared the codes, but the only codes that were in there were lost communication errors from last year when I used FDRS to run updates and charge port sensor codes from last year as well. The code you referenced didn't even show up.

I'm still going to keep the recall appointment, but in true fashion I just got a call that their EV tech is on vacation for a week and half and now I can't come in until 2/10. This is literally what happened last time. They kept rescheduling and then just cancelled, and I said f*ck it. @Ford Motor Company Your dealerships, specifically Gordie Boucher, are terrible.

Just had the recall performed. Any chance you can tell if they completed everything? The reason I ask is they supposedly tested my 12v and they said it was OK. Which is weird because I haven't installed the new one yet. Also, I asked the service consultant if they could tell if my HVBJB was bad or not and he told me it appears that it was fine. So, based on those two things, that makes me question everything. They also said they did a recall on my parking brakes, but that wasn't even listed in Ford Pass, so that was news to me aas well.

Thanks in advance @Mach-Lee

Yes they did the HVBJB replacement, powertrain software update, and the 22P31 Parking brake connector CSP. 12V was marginal but not failed yet, so just replace that on your own and reset the BMS. Then you should be good to go. It's impossible to tell if a HVBJB is bad just from looking at it, all the damage is internal.

I am having a very similar issue; however, I am getting a door fault, and on occasion, the doors open very weak; additionally, my SYNC screen has read “powering down to save battery” 2/3 times this has happened. Does anyone know if this is more likely an HVBJB issue or just a bad 12-volt battery? I can come back to the vehicle in just 5 minutes, and everything is fine. The last time this happened, there was a very strong sulfur/rotten egg smell coming from the car, which furthers my thinking that it is a 12-volt battery issue. Has anyone else with this issue had the sync screen displaying this message?

UPDATE: I took my vehicle to the dealership today. They discovered many low 12-volt battery voltage codes in FRDS and were convinced the issue stemmed from the 12-volt battery, although they noted that this behavior was unusual. Initially, a battery test indicated the battery was "good." However, the technician later realized that testing while the battery was connected to the car allowed the main pack to influence the results. After disconnecting the battery for a re-test, the fault was confirmed. If you experience similar issues, ensure you disconnect your 12-volt battery before testing. I'll update again if this doesn't resolve the problem. Thanks to Dick Smith Ford in Columbia, SC—some of the most accommodating service personnel I've ever dealt with!
