Every possible warning light is on, no real reason why

My son was driving home tonight and a deer jumped out in front of the car. He, and the car, braked and avoided any kind of collision. The deer never touched the car. Now, however, every warning light is on and the car is a hot mess. Here's what I notice:

AWD Off
1-Pedal Fault
Pre-Collision Fault
Reverse stop Assist Fault
Service AdvanceTrak

Also, all drive modes are unavailable. Basically every safety system is inoperable.

I'm sure there might be more warnings I can't recall. Why would all this be triggering just from a hard brake?! I tried turning off the car and starting it again. I even tried the reset with the battery terminal. Any other suggestions short of sending it back to the dealer yet again? It seems completely ridiculous that all this would fail when a collision never occurred!

Is the SRS warning light on? Wondering if some part of the SRS system deployed, pedestrian protection or something as if in preparation for a collision that didn’t quite occur if it was such a close thing🤷🏼‍♂️

Video of the dash may be useful whilst turning on Start button showing the POST (power-on self-test) as warning lights go through their sequence.

`I'll work on a video, but I don't think the US models have pedestrian protection.

Yes they do, mine had a pedestrian sensor replaced recently because it failed, and was causing many Pre-Collision Faults.

How is the health of your 12V battery?
Should be good for a little while. 2023 purchased 2 years ago. It is fixed now. A 2nd reset fixed it. Maybe I didn't quite have it disconnected for 10 minutes the first time. Still strange that a hard brake would blow it up like that.

If the vehicle is under warranty still you should get the codes read instead of trying clear them, because they will return as there is something wrong somewhere. Transient errors do happens but mostly they will return.

The list of error messages you got it is a common list that will show up for any type of high voltage/drivetrain errors since as soon as one of the drivedrain modules or stability control modules is not happy they will stop transmitting some data on the network causing AWD, traction control, 1 pedal drive and hill start assist to be disabled "just to be sure".

There could be something that is loose that moved during the force created by hard braking and sudden movements in the suspension, just one single error will cause all of those messages.

I got all the same warnings/faults yesterday just driving normally, no sudden braking for deer or anything else.
All sensors appear clean and clear. Turned it on today and they are still there. Had the recall 25S65 performed on October 6, and put a new 12v battery in back in March.
Going to call the dealer for service this afternoon. Hoping it is not the dreaded "rodent chew".

Took it (2021 Select AWD) in for service and they determined that a module in the steering column that reports the steering angle to other systems had malfunctioned. When the wheel is straight ahead it should read 0 degrees, and + or - as you turn left or right. Mine was stuck at -5773 degrees, so the emergency braking system and other driver aids freaked out and shut down. The fix was to replace the steering column. I was out of warranty, but because it is a safety issue they said it was covered under some other warranty clause.
On the flip side, spent some time browsing the new models on the lot. Ford was offering a $12,000 (Cdn) discount on the 2025s during the month of November. Got a decent trade on the 2021, so I now own a 2025 Select AWD in Eruption Green! Guess I should update my profile. I love my Mach E!!

I reset the car by disconnecting the 12v battery for 30 minutes and now everything is fine.

After the recall, do you wait 10 min to disconnect the battery, or wait an additional 10 minutes to reset?
Still wish there was a global reset button.

After shutting the car off, make sure you wait at least 15 minutes before removing the battery terminal (because the 12V output will still be live). Next, remove the terminal for 10 minutes, then put it back on.
