I finally completed the configuration of evGo AUTOCHARGE+ feature and my conclusion is that whoever was behind this ...SHOULD BE FIRED !!! Luckily I was just playing around and did not needed to charge but it took me good four to five tries and ended up re-booting my iPhone (iOS v.16.0.2) at least three times. If you thought that FordPass was bad ...then the evGo app is RETARDED. There is no reason or rhyme in how to understand its set up logic, but you have just have to keep attempting it and eventually you will get it. I have posted photos but no explanations because I don't know how to .... !!! The evGo dcFC is by far and few here in FL, the one I used was a 50 kW located at Lake Buena Factory Outlets right off 535, not too far from Disney Springs... but at least now I have it running and it is one more source to charge in the case of need.

Have to say I completely disagree with this assessment. I set mine up tonight, and it was both easy and straightforward - at least for me.

I stopped my initial charge that enrolled me in autocharge, drove around the parking lot, and then plugged back in. The auto charging authorization took about 30 seconds, but then the charge started just fine.

It was also easy for me, but...

Apparently some EVGO chargers do not support activating the Autocharge. The first site I tried would not allow me to initiate the charge. I went to a different site and it worked fine. I reported this to EVGO adn they came back and told me some of the stations were not set up to support activation yet. But at that site that did not support activation, my Bolt could Autocharge just fine.

Yeah I actually think the 50kw stations, most of them do not support it

That is the opposite of what I found, I activated it at a 50kw charger, but could not at a site that had brand new 350kw chargers.

We have new BTC 50kW chargers here in Chicago, and they've been working with Autocharge+. I'm betting the older ABB 50kW units don't support Autocharge+.

Also, chiming in to say I didn't really have any issues activating it either on an iPad.

.... interesting. It could be the evGo cabinet I was dealing with, but I have to say that it was a bear.

I find evGo chargers varies a lot, some of them works well and some of them are beyond retarded. This has been my experience here in Mid & South FL area.

The chargers where I tried to set up Autocharge on the MME do support the Autocharge feature, I have used those with my Bolt. It is just that they did not support the initial activation of a new car in the App.

Edit: After activating Autocharge on a different charger, I did go back to the chargers that would not allow me to activate it, and the Autocharge feature did work on those chargers. Not sure why EVGO has a limitation on using those for initial activation of the feature.

I was able to successfully setup AutoCharge +.

After the mobile app is set with a VIN, the app will ask you to verify your VIN by plugging in and doing a manual charge via your phone app.

Once that is done, it is setup automatically and you can do true plug and charge like Ford's Blue Oval EA chargers.

I found some old EV Go chargers (50kw) and some new ones (100kW and 350kW) being built nearby.
