Extra 35 Day Wait

My MME was shipped April 21st, with an ETA of May 18th.

Checking it this morning, it's now changed to delivery on June 16th.

According to Palsapp, the vehicle was delivered to Kansas city on May 7th. I'm in GA, and the original timing seemed accurate but this comes really out of nowhere.

The dealership hasn't contacted me, even to get updates I'd have to call them. I wonder if they'll reach out to me and let me know.

Originally, I had a delivery time frame of "second or third week of May" according to the dealership.

Has anyone gotten a change like this? I wonder if it has something to do with the pipeline getting hacked and shutting down. Prices have already gone up over $0.50 here in GA and many gas stations have begun to run out.

Reading this thread makes me a little worried. The one I just put money down to reserve was built 4/28, shipped 5/3. Sales guy said it should be here this week, but the ETA End Date is 6/9. I’m hoping that at least the June date is real. No activity on PalsApp, blank, null & pending still.

When did you place your order

I didn't. It was a dealer order (or cancelled order) and I scooped it up back in early April. Check my signature for specific dates.

Currently I don’t think mine is in KC yet. It only left Mexico 14 days ago, average time from Mexico to ‘delivered’ in the Palsapp is 17 days, some as high as 23. This is what Palsapp says for me.

Unless that means it’s in KC and just hasn’t been delivered yet. Is that what it’s saying?

I did some research of Mach E’s ordered and delivered to Mass. seems like average time from shipped to delivered in Palsapp is 17 days, final delivery around 34 days. Where mine has a ‘transit date’ of 42, makes me think it won’t registered as delivered in Palsapp until 5/25.

Does that make sense? I’m new to all this, trying to get all the data I can.

The average amount of time it takes to go from "delivered" in Palsapp to delivered at dealership in my area (SoCal) is about 10-14 days.

Mine showed the same as your palsapp until it was delivered to Kansas City. Once it was delivered, it updated.

Hell of a trip to take 17 days from Mexico to KC though.

As for my MME update. Dealership reached out today Monday 5/17 and told me the car wouldn't be here tomorrow as promised. I told them that's an issue because I had already made plans to sell my Jeep that day to pick up the MME. The sales guy told me he'd talk to his manager about getting me a loaner. Didn't hear back even though they called me at 3:30pm. I asked if I could borrow their MME for a weekend or something, get a feel for the car beyond the 15 min test drive. He said the car wasn't up for loaning but he'd ask.

Can't hurt to ask right?

Palsapp is not your friend. You will become certifiably insane trying to figure it out or to make some sense of it.

Barring something along the lines of a pandemic manpower shortage beyond the normal pandemic manpower shortage, it’ll take 14 days give or take couple of days to get to KC. After that, Palsapp may update relatively quickly with the transfer info to whatever ramp, or it may take a week to actually show up even though your car to be had already moved.

In my case, my Mach-e was overnighting in New Mexico before Palsapp showed it had moved to the Argentine Ramp.

Right? I’m sure that’s normal though. I’m just hoping the flooding and tornadoes in northern Texas don’t impact its trip. I hope I see it delivered in KC by next Tuesday.

The thing I’m debating now is do I start applying for financing, where The approval is only good for 30 days and my eta is in 21. If it gets delayed I’ll have to re-apply. Part of me thinks I should wait.

Definitely does not hurt to ask. Still don’t have a car yet, but my Wife and I have put almost 800 miles on the dealer’s demo MME!

I put in my application at a local credit union with <1% APR on 60 months. Couldn't say no to that and it expires end of the month. I just submitted all the paperwork, so here's to hoping it gets here within 30 days. Before you apply I'd recommend speaking to your financial institution, see if extending it is a possibility. I'd definitely at least wait until it updates saying it was delivered to KC, mine sat there since May 7th, and just today got the pending to dealership destiation.

I tried asking my dealer for a loaner since I've been trying to sell the jeep while I've got a really good offer on the table. They didn't budge, and with the new timeline of June 16th, they're not even willing to slide me any loaner at the moment let alone their MME. They've got it parked at the entrance (on the outside) just sitting there un-loved and surviving the GA weather and all it's crazyness

just today got the pending to dealership destiation.

Just for my future knowledge, how did you know it’s status changed to pending? My car is a dealer order so I don’t have access to the same Ford site you would if you order it yourself.

That’s good advice to wait until it hits KC. I still have it in the back of my head that it could be here this week (what the sales guy told me), but the fact that it hasn’t even shown up in KC yet makes me wonder what he was talking about.

My bank will only do a 30 day window, so we’ll see. Unfortunately they told me today it takes a week from when the car arrives to when they process the loan. So I may have to go with dealership financing. Can’t wait a week with it sitting on the lot!

Yes, we sold my Wife’s car way too early so they have been letting her use the MME. It’s been like getting a free rental with unlimited mileage!

That’s a good dealership! Assuming I have 3 weeks until mine comes I may ask if I can take my dealerships out for another “test drive” some day lol.

Mine shipped April 22nd, arrive in KC on May 7th. Original delivery (California) was supposed to be May 26th- June 1st, got pushed back to June 8th - 15th. I've been randomly selecting VIN numbers of various Mach E's on the lot in SoCal and it seems most of them have been coming in around 10-14 days after it reaches KC, which puts me very close to the original ETA. Hoping this is the case for mine.

Mine came in today, and just picked it up. To recap: May 7th was when it delivered to KC according to Palsapp. I have been finding that most of the Mach E's that are on dealer lots in my area (SoCal) have taken 10-14 days after Palsapp delivered date. My car was within that range, today being 11 days after May 7th.
