After getting the shaft by dishonest Sarasota Ford, I'm looking to order a second MachE through a different dealer (maybe the same as my last dealer).
Given that Sarasota Ford messed with my order on 2/11 of a Premium, now I'm left with either GT or Select.
I plan to keep my original order of my Premium placed on 1/3, but hedging my bets with a second order. Which do you feel would be a little faster delivery - Select with tech package or a GT? And which would have better resale should my Premium come in after purchasing the back up?
Are GT's shipping faster than Selects? I'm thinking the GT would have better resale?

I'm also considering a different EV SUV altogether after this experience... ruled out the Iconic5 and the Kia as I don't love their appearances. Just reserved a Fisker Ocean - just worried about the servicing of these.

What would you do?

Real SUVs or wagons like the Mach-E, EV6, Ioniq 5, Model Y?

Solterra
bz4x
ID.4 (ok, I don't recommend this but I will list it)
Ariya
R1S

Your choices are kinda of limited because of low availability. There's e-Tron, Polestar (sedan), XC40 Recharge, Niro EV, Kona EV, etc. but I don't have much experience with those. I did like my Niro EV test drive but for $40K... there are better options.

Oh, GTs will have better resale. Selects are dime a dozen. They did not have markups in the northeast for a while.

Lol definitely GT. I have a select w/ tech package ordered 8/17/21 and guess what... I'm still waiting for shipping. Go for GT, Ford seems to prioritize GTPE especially (correct me if im wrong), as it seems they get build dates within 2 months.

I don't want to say you are wrong as my GTPE order dates back to 8/28/21 and it is in transit as I type...built 3/8...expect it in S. Florida about 4/16. I have seen many others ordered long after that were delivered a month ago....just part of the Ford witchcraft ?

Not that I am good at telling the future, but I would go with GT as the select has a smaller battery that will kill resale value. That said, smaller starting price on the select, and so the longer you hold them, the GT will eventually fall more than the select, but off the lot the GT will probably not fall as quickly the first year or two while supply is tight.
