I honestly didn't know Ferrari was making an EV. If I just had an extra $300K lying around, dang!!!

They must be going after a new segment. I can't imagine their traditional clients are the mark here? But who knows... how many MMEs can I buy for one Luce LOL!!!
I find it amusing that this is posted in “Mach-E vs the Competition”. 😂

Not that i could ever buy one, but would have been nice if they made it look more Ferrari-like. It looks like all the EV’s already out there. Even the interior looks really plaIn.
Comes across as if they just dusted off the caned apple car design and stuck a Ferrari badge on it, the purosangue looks like a ferrari, this could be anything.

It will be interesting to see if they will eventually release design sketches to be able to compare what they where going for. With this and awful looking amg gt (compared to the concept) we now just need to see the final jag block on wheels to complete the ugly ev trifecta.

For a clean sheet ev design this all rather generic, then again you only need to look at the Marc Newson push me, pull you 021c Concept for ford, to see that being good at design in one area does not always transalte across to another so its not like ferrari can be surprised with this cars looks.

While the mach-e may have had a few of the mustang faithful up in arms, at least there are hints of mustang in there, the design sketches for it are far better and on point for a mustang crossover, unfortunalty it seems when trying to graft that onto the exisiting platform with no doubt fixed hard points it lost the required proportions :(

I like the new Ferrari - Luce (pronounced loochay),
it has an understated elegance...
The integration of the spoilers into the body is sublime...
Liking the positionable center screen...
The whhels would look great on a Mach-E...
I'd go for the Giallo Luce...

Remember how everyone said the BMW i8 rear end looks like it's giving birth to a Porche? This is giving me vibes of a Ferrari garaged inside an iPhone.

Yup about the i8, lmfao

This new Luce is giving birth to a 2004 - 2005 Impala:

(In Japan the 929 was a Mazda Luce...)

Out of curiosity, I’d like to see a serious analysis and discussion of the aerodynamic considerations and properties of the Luce. (Not that I’d understand it, although I believe Steve, the human kept by a certain @HuntingPudel, could dumb it down enough to explain it to Pebbles the 🐩 and me and others who might be interested. 😎

And now let half the world announce "that's not a Ferrari"
There is a difference between a brand creating a new vehicle and giving it a unique nameplate, and a manufacturer making a brand new vehicle and putting the nameplate of their halo car on it.

Or, has Ferrari made a Luce before?

Absolutely hideous. They told Jaguar, "hold my beer."
Wait are you trying to compare that abomination to Jaguars?

I think the Jaguar lineup looks great. Hell, just bought a 2020 F type R as a 2nd car.

" Ferrari’s chief designer also says that too many people are focused on nostalgia instead of embracing change and progress. He expected the critics to come, but innovation was more important than what people stuck living in the past could say. The professional is confident that after a couple of months, more people will embrace the novel design philosophy. "

The reference was to the “new” jaguar (lower case). Specifically, the Type 00 and Type 01
