If as the article says they "appears to have adequately calculated demand" that anticipated demand could have been QTY = 1.
My opinion is that 1) I don't care what Ferrari does, I have never wanted one nor am I planning to buy one; 2) I think any new EV is good as it helps move the industry forward; and 3) Ferrari would not have done this even as a design exercise if they did not have a reason, even if that reason was to get themselves in the news for something other than producing just another ICE vehicle.
