Finally a Sighting in the Wild

I don't think this is a negative, makes your Mach-E that much rarer.

I didn't see a single one for the first month or two that I had my Mach-E. Now I've been seeing one every couple of weeks. Once, I even saw two in the same week.

LOL I don't even have Mach-E yet. Waiting on my GT-PE order to get past "Order Accepted by Dealer" stage. ?

Given the number of people in the Bay Area who have posted to the MME forum, I thought I'd have seen one of theirs by now. I guess I'm just not lucky enough. LOL.

I've started to see them more often in the Bay, but still not at the level I thought I would considering Ford announced Cali has such a high percentage of Mach E orders. And especially since the guys in Michigan seem to see them every day lol.

The one I saw yesterday was only my 7th or 8th in the 6 months it's been out.

I've seen one carbonized gray one parked in Milpitas (Great Mall). Sales person at the dealership where I purchased mine (space white) claimed that they sold around 10-15 before mine.

There is a Grabber Blue close to me, I have seen it a couple times while out walking. the only one i have seen in the wild. Soon there will be 2 in our Roseville neighborhood, ours (Space White) should be here middle of July according to the Ford emails,

I think I've seen the same one. It drove by, while I was stopped at a light. Only "in the wild" sighting for me.

I wonder how many at Capitol Ford, Ford Frontier and Sunnyvale.

I recall when I was about to reserve my car back in 2020, I asked Capitol Ford if the car would still qualify for the Federal Tax Credit, the manager said: EV credit, that's not a thing. (I guess that is pretty basic info) And bad talked about me when they were passing the phone from one person to another one while I could listen to them because they didn't know about the car and couldn't answer my questions.

I said alrighty & reserved mine with Ford Frontier, Steven Creek.

I actually did my reservation with Capitol Ford. My preference was carbonized gray premium AWD standard range. At the time of reservation, Capitol Ford did confirm to me that they will not charge any ADM and honor X-Plan pricing.

But, after the reservation, my car's color was changed to black without my knowledge. Ford claimed only dealer can help and Capitol Ford told that they cannot help. Capitol Ford did tell me that they will be getting similar dealer ordered car and they will sell me the car at MSRP but, wont honour X-Plan pricing. And, then later claimed that car never came. I ended up canceling my reservation with them.

I called up Fremont Ford after that. They made it clear that they charge ADM for dealer ordered cars. And, tried to sell me First Edition for 5K$ markup, claiming that rebate through Ford Options should offset the mark up partially. And, they even tried to sell me demo car which ran around 2000 miles for MSRP

And then - I called up The Ford Store, Morgan Hill and asked them if they have any ADM and about X-Plan pricing. Sales person Leonel Farias was very professional as well, and they told that don't do any ADM and they do honor A/Z and X plan pricing. And they were getting one Space White Premium AWD standard range into their inventory the same day.

I ended up buying the car the next day. They honored all the rebates I was eligible (X-plan, rebate through Ford options as I purchased dealer ordered car and CA Clean Fuel Reward). All in all, I was very happy with them.

I did get non-answers like "please check with your financial advisor" about Federal credit from all the dealerships though.

I went almost 4 months driving in SoCal with mine before seeing another one in the wild…then I saw 3 in the last week…no other grabber blues though ?

I live in Morgan Hill and was turning onto Monterey Rd and saw one traveling south. I turned in front of it and then pulled into the Morgan Hill Historical Society and parked in the back. As I was parking, I saw the other MME pulling to park as well! It was the same color as mine - Infinite Blue Metallic. Turns out the woman driving it was dropping off her daughter to help set up for the same event I was there for. She'd had hers since February and initially had many problems but is happy with it now. Very small world.

Saw my first MME in the wild in FL this last week while on vacation. IB. Was pretty cool to see one just driving around.

No infinite blues around here. My neighbour told me he saw another one in next block over. But its not as nice as "ours" and we still have the best color. Seems to be a few selects at the local dealer.
I like how he used ours - seems my enclave has taken ownership.

Had my first sighting yesterday going to work. Carbonized with a paper tag. Of course I was in the Explorer as the spouse had more mileage planned for the day than I did......

A lot of BEVs here, mostly white Teslas but some other colors thrown in. See Teslas every time I go out.

Woot, saw my second MME on the road yesterday in Woodside, CA. It was Rapid Red.

yeah, can’t cross the street here without almost being hit by a Tesla.
