In all honesty, as long as I get the price protection check down the road I’m good with that route. Yeah it costs me an extra $140 but that’s 2-3 weeks of gas cost so I’ll bite that bullet and move on. I want the October Options as well. What I won’t deal with is ADM as they’ve listed my car at $10k over sticker on their website recently. I’m hoping that’s just a precautionary thing where if I don’t want it they’ll already have a buyer lined up, it I want it at the price that my two sales people (who have since quit in 9 months) promised me. I wasn’t smart enough to get anything in writing as I took them for their word, maybe I shouldn’t be old school, but that’s how I’ve done it with our Chevy dealer and never been burned. They want your butt in a seat, then they'll tell you. Ford suggested getting everything in writing next time.
I walked out the first time after we could not agree on applying the price protection up front. I lost that one. Then I had a private cash offer in my checkout that turned out be "sorry, just kidding", not really a thing unless you have the associated email or mailing with a certificate number. I lost that one too after talking with Ford. They could not explain the offer.
This should be easier than this. Good luck!
