I lost my spare FOB in the house somewhere. Since as you get close to the MME, the MME detect the FoB comes alive, I assume the FOB must put out a RF signal to wake up the car. So was thinking.. maybe I can get find the FoB's appx location by searching via a Spectrum Analyser (maybe an app on my phone and walking around the house). Does anyone know if this will work? What frequency I would serch for? Other thoughts?

It’s the other way around. The car is intermittently putting out a low frequency signal to wake up the key fob. The key fob then responds over 315 MHz to authenticate with the car if it’s close enough.

The key fob is not constantly sending out a signal. The key battery would die too quickly.

As noted you will probably not be able to use the spectrum analyzer idea to find it. However I did do this to find a lost Bluetooth device a while back.

if/when you find the fob put an AirTag on it.

hope you find it. The 2021 Job 1s only came with a single fob, we were lucky enough to be given a second fob from ford as part of customer satisfaction program.

I keep my fob hidden in the car, wrapped in a couple layers of foil, several feet away from center console..... and the fob battery still died in 2 years with zero use! I guess I'll just leave a new battery in the package and store it with the fob, but not installed.
