Did a short day trip recently, just over 300 miles roundtrip. Very hot temperatures, ~93-100, so running the AC the whole time. When we arrived at our charging stop and got out of the car, my wife noticed a fishy smell on the outside, but didn't mention it at the time. She thought it was actually someone's fish since the charging stop was at a rural gas station that had a 60kW DCFC in back. The next day, we made a quick trip in town, again using the AC. When we got home and parked in the garage and got out, we both noticed the same fishy smell. I looked under the car and the AC condensation wasn't dripping at all on the ground, even with the car on and AC cranked. I confirmed the same behavior later that day having the car on with the AC cranked. No drip.

The next day I drove it to work and back home without running the Cl. The compressor did kick on briefly to cool down the electrical components, but didn't stay on long. Didn't smell the fishy smell, but suspect it may have dried out since the recent trips have been short and not enough water would have accumulated. My suspicion is the AC condensation drain hose is clogged, but seems pretty bizarre this would happen so soon. Don't even have 1000 miles on the car yet.

Car is a 2022 Premium, built between January and March this year. I took it into the dealer, but waiting for them to get time to work on it. All 3 of our local Ford dealers here are backlogged with first appointments available 4-6 weeks out and a walk-in wait list of 1-2 weeks.

Anyone have a similar issue?

Spiders love to clog up condensation drains. If it's not draining out the drain, won't be long till your floorboards start getting wet.

Not exactly. I took the car into the dealer and they were not able to replicate the problem. The service log says, “Unable to vehicle concern. R&I front skid plate. Performed inspection of evaporator core drain found condensation dripping as expected. Found drain not clogged. Unable to duplicate concern at this time.” The dealer did have the car awhile, a little over 2 weeks, since all the local Ford dealers in my area are pretty backed up on service appointments.

After getting the car back, I put the AC on max and let it run for about 10-15 minutes and saw it starting to drip and form a small puddle on the ground (finally!). The drip location is on the driver's side behind the front axle. The frunk drain is different and is more in the center a little further back. I also saw a puddle when DCFC for 45 minutes and the car was running the AC compressor to keep things cool.

I live in a very dry climate (Idaho), so it's possible the drain was never plugged and there isn't much condensation that needs to drip. The other possibility is the dealer removing the cover underneath unblocked something. I've only noticed the fishy smell one other time over the past few weeks and that was when I was washing the car and the car was left on to keep the AC running.
