I give up.
I thought I had this down to a science with my Explorer, but now I am a stage 1 again.
No matter what I seem to do, my windows get super foggy when it is humid outside.
I thought I figured it out last week when I drove for a minute with the windows open before I turned on the AC.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Tips and tricks to keep the windshield clear when it is humid out?

defrost mode in my last few cars always engaged A/C to dry the air.

Ive noticed a bit of fogging in the Mach on hot days first starting A/C, but goes away in less than 10 sec once cool drier air hits the screen.

Once the rainy season hits here in a couple months, guess I might have a different experience, but expectation is defrost will come to the rescue.

First of all, you should probably not have your location down to your address in your profile. Unless you're in a geographically large state, the state level should be just fine. ??

I tend to just hit the defrost for a few moments like @nuMach then just have the fan running on Auto 3. It doesn't get *that* humid here (even though I live in the middle of a bunch of lagoons), so you may need more than a few moments of defogger. ??

The defog in the MME is a weak point for me as it’s both humid and cool in our part of upcountry Hawaii. The automatic system usually doesn’t kick in till late in the fogging process so I usually just press the max defrost button which clears things up quickly.

The air comes out so cold that it cools the windshield if the defrost vents are on. In auto most of the air seems to go to the windshield so it’s going to suffer condensation once it’s cool. I find it best to keep the cool air off the windshield by selecting the lower vents and not using auto.

Make sure you don’t have “Recirculate” turned on.
Yes this. With one of the last updates Ford changed how the recirculate button works. So maybe that's it? Now it stays indefinitely on once you turn it on. Even when turning the car off and on. I really hate that they changed this. My windows definitely get foggy when air recirculation is turned on.

I like how mine works. Recirc comes on when I turn on the AC and back off when I turn AC off. I’ll have to check and see what it does with the AC on and I redirect the flow to the windshield. The good thing is that I’m calling up the HVAC screen anyway so it will be obvious and easy to adjust.
