Force Software Updates?

I have auto updates turned on and scheduled daily at 12am. Latest update is 2.8.3
Can I do anything to get the recall update loaded?

You can wait for OTA or take the car to your dealer. You cannot force it to load from the car.

Unfortunately no. Ford enables updates for cars in batches, so until it’s been enabled for your car there’s nothing no you can do without going to a dealer.

A few important notes though:

Dont set theschedule for midnight. There is a known bug with that time. Set it for any other time.

The scheduled update time is only when the car will automatically install updates that require the car to be parked and unavailable. It does not check for updates at that time.

The only way to get the car to check for updates is to drive it.

I have found that updates are normally released for cars around 3pm EST. So if you only go drive once a day, do it after 3.

I recall discussion about 12am being a software bug at one point. It's probably been fixed, but you may want to move it to 1am just to be safe.
