Has anyone been successful at using the Ford apps such as iHeart radio or Ford/Amazon app. If so how do you start them and work them?

I've tried a couple of these, the FordPass app and iHeart Radio. They both work in limited fashion.

FordPass uses AppLink to get driving data from the car for the Journey recording/analysis feature. That seems to work fine. Which is interesting because I force quit FordPass on my phone to avoid the battery drain issues, yet this function still works.

There's also a FordPass app listed in the vehicle's App drawer (the grid of icons you see when you tap your profile icon at top-center). If I recall correctly, nothing useful loads when I tap that.

I don't normally use iHeartRadio but I tried it just to see how it works with AppLink. It works fine. The user interface is pretty basic. IIRC, you can't do much scrolling through lists while you're driving. So you'd have to stop to browse stations or genres or whatever. I think you're meant to set up all your favorites while parked and then just use the favorites list to switch stations from that point on.
