I was locked out of my Ford account because I was using OptiWatt to track my energy usage when charging my 2021 Mach-E at home. I called Ford with regards to the problem and they opened a case for me and promised that within 5 to 8 business days, someone will reach out. I didn't receive any emails or calls but on the day of the call, I did confirm that Ford was having issues with 3rd party apps such as OptiWatt and the person advised me to remove my car's information from OptiWatt. I did and deleted OptiWatt from my phone.
Today, I was able to log back into my Ford account and get my FordPass to work.
Now my question is when will Ford play nice with 3rd party apps such as OptiWatt?
