Just in the last week, my Ford navigation has gone all HAL9000 on me. I never use it, so maybe it is feeling left out and trying to force it's way into my drive.
Seemingly randomly, I'll be backing out of my driveway and the Ford Nav will be trying to give me directions somewhere. I don't know where, because it is so jarring and loud that I immediately turn it off without thinking. It has done this a couple of times now. When it happens, I won't even have directions running on Android Auto either. Ford Nav just seems to decide I need to be somewhere, and I need help getting there.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Ha! Thanks. I guess it really does think I need to be somewhere. Now if only I could get it to respond to the SYNC trunk and frunk buttons all the time.

"HAL, open the frunk."
"I'm sorry Dave. I can't let you do that."

Be careful what you wish for - there is a non-zero chance that the frunk will get stuck in a "not fully open and not fully closed" state and the car will spend a few days at the dealer.

Thanks for posting this. I started having this problem a month ago and couldn't figure out what was going on. It must have been one of those crazy updates messing with your car's settings like disabling walk away mode.
