Ford Pass Connect reset

I was told by Ford directly that a "Ford Pass Connect reset" must be done to fix my car not getting any OTA updates. A new 2023 MME purchased 6 weeks ago. Ford states that they cannot locate any update history on this VIN number and it was built in August of 2023. During the reset, a modem reset will be done as well. The car needs to be parked and tuned on. They talk a person through the reset process while in the car. Lots of stuff will be lost and you'll have to reactivate the car and re-add it to Ford pass. Has anyone done this and what was your result as a fix for zero updates being received?

The only way a reset will enable the ability to get updates is if the reset was done with the intention of activating the modem on the vehicle. Otherwise, the reset was done in vain. Nothing you can do will trigger an update to be sent to your vehicle from the server.

FWIW, my '23.0 Premium hasn't had an OTA update since mid-March. It seemed to me that they slowed or paused a lot of the updates leading up to the BC 1.4 update because of some issues that were affecting some cars, maybe combined with the fact that they are cooperating with some investigations into a couple of fatal crashes that might have had BC involved.

So it might just be that your '23.5 car already had the updates for everything that isn't on hold... ?‍

But I would think maybe Ford knows better than I do...

Well, with your VIN, I can check if your modem is properly activated. However, if your Fordpass is connected and working, then the modem is activated.

Yes, I can always connect through the app and access app features without issue. Is it possible that the modem is activated but some other issues exists with connectivity specifically for OTA updates? I mean, this is a new 2023 built in August 2023 that literally has zero update history
