Ford Pass not logging in. [SOLVED]

Hi,
For some reason my Fordpass logged me out today and just sits there grinding away trying to login. I can login to the Ford site OK but not Fordpass. Anyone else in the UK having this problem. It is not much use as an app anyway but there were some items worth using.

Try rebooting phone. If that doesn't work, clear cache and data, reboot phone, and try again.

I now think it may be a disconnect with IOS. I have the latest level IOS on my phone with the latest Fordpass which has stopped working. My wife has an older phone and IOS level but the latest Fordpass which works.

I'm on the latest of both too, but it seems to be working fine to me. Although I noticed that the most recent software update no longer shows in the app - in Settings, Software Updates I can only see the schedule now and that automatic updates are enabled. Yesterday it was also showing me the most recent update that was applied, and when it was installed.

Finally found the solution to this problem and it had nothing to do with Ford Pass. I have found a few other apps that were also not working with IOS 18.5 but Ford Service (UK) were the only developers actively trying to solve the problem. I recently bought an iPad Pro and with IOS 18.5 loaded found that all the apps worked perfectly. Not sure now whether the issue is app, phone or IOS related so I went off to my nearest Apple Store to seek help. Issue resolved in 15 minutes by Tech Specialist. I do not use Safari on my Apple products preferring DuckDuckGo as a browser. The Apple Tech explained that IOS is not that intelligent and does not use your default browser when an App calls external websites. It uses Safari. Deep down in the Safari App settings is a switch for blocking cookies. This was set and effectively stopped all communication with websites. Switching this off fixed the problem. This raised another question however. Since buying this phone in October 2024 and replacing Safari with DuckDuckGo, I have not made any settings changes to the Safari App. Everything worked fine up to IOS 18.4.1 so how did the settings change? Another Apple Mystery. I passed the information on to Ford Service for their knowledge base.
