1) QMerit(Schneider owned) is 2-4X more expensive than others
2) Ford Pro Charger???? Many better choices.
3) You should install an AC coupled, bi modal system if you want to charge directly from your array
{ assuming ~11.73 kW array[345W/panel] and ~4,000 sq. ft., you should be able to provide more electricity than you consume/year as an all electric home}
4) Make sure your L1 outlet is on your critical load panel

Big question: Is V2H ("Ford Home Integration System" or other) already installed? And compatible with Powerwall?

I have the 80 amp (is that a pro?) installed by Qmerit and it was a two week process. They needed pics of breaker box, where you wanted the charger placed and the distance between the two. Then they would set up a local contractor to do the install. Which is another wait period. But I’m happy with it. Plug in every night if I need to, but I tend to go 2-4 days at times w/o charging. Since it does a good charge overnight when needed.

Since he said Ford Promise in the title, it is probably safe to assume that he is referring to the Ford Power Promise where Ford is paying the for the Ford Pro Charger and the Qmerit installation.

Well considering its a free charger and installation i do think they would want to spend an additional 2000+ on another charger.

Retired. I'd say it was a mid life crisis, but not many people live to 140.

QMerit is a value added broker, so they can look expensive. But since Ford is paying them, don’t hesitate.

They will at least be sure you get a qualified electrician with experience.

80A is also overkill. But if you have space on the panel, you might as well future proof.

I remember 20 kW DC chargers, so 19.2 kW AC is just awesome.

It's Ford's top of the line AC EVSE, the Ford Charge Station Pro, which was introduced with the Ford F150 Lightning pickup. It's capable of bi-directional charging and 80A with the right support equipment. I was considering taking Ford up on it but since I already have a 32A dumb EVSE that I really like, I decided to take the $1K rebate instead. If Ford was giving away the crappy Ford Mobile Charger, I wouldn't even have considered the EVSE vs. the rebate. ?‍♂?

Sure. Assume. Assumptions are always infallible.
IT'S NOT A DAMN CHARGER.
As verified by this forum and other sources, Ford branded stuff is "crappy" at best (Ford mobile charger, Charge Station[visit Lightning forum], Ford labeled EVSE, etc.)
Charge Station is limiting and Ford is years behind and fading fast..........

So, you cannot employ a local electrician but Qmerit can??????
