It hasn't been updating for a week. I tried to delete and re-install and now is asking to set up PAAK again but won't connect. PAAK actually seems to be working find though.
What a coincidence I was just going to start a post. For the last couple of weeks my PAAK has been working on and off I walk up to the car and locks do not turn on. the way that I get into the car is open up the app and unlock through the app or type in my code on the column I get into the car and it says no key detected so obviously I use my backup code. Yesterday. There are times when I can start the car with the phone but after starting I get a message no key detected. When I walk away the car does lock automatically. I cleared cache on the app and did a four stop when I did that the key icon appeared on the upper left which I thought was always there but I can't be for sure if the key icon is there all the time walked up to the car everything turned on but then after a while it goes into disconnect mode in my opinion something has changed I can't tell you whether it's when Ford renamed Ford pass to just Ford but something has happened because I have not had this problem for over 3 years it's a bit frustrating and thank God I do have the passcode but I feel like I'm playing with Russian roulette by not using my fob and someday the passcode won't work.
I was going to delete my key and put it back but I really don't believe that that's the case I do have a question when I look at Bluetooth devices I see 2 items related to my car Dan's mustang and 02006 Mach E which I believe this is the one that is for the PAAK. They look ok to me. I have a Samsung s22+. I don't think it's a phone issue.

Question for Android users is the key icon always there up at the upper left hand side of the phone. When I do a force stop and go back into the app the key appears on the upper left on the phone but eventually it goes away.

To me this is a very strange issue and frustrating. One more thing The Ford app sends notifications to my phone when it is connected to the car or if it's trying to connect to the car and when I walk away it notifies me to tell me that the car was locked using the app One thing I noticed that's a bit strange it has a date of yesterday which was 11:24 and today's date is 11:25 I would think that the date would be today's date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I realize this reply may be meaningless but are you referring to FordPass app or Ford app? My understanding it was changed. Have you updated to the Ford app? (you may just be calling it the old FordPass name even though you are actually using the Ford app) only reason I state this is perhaps, if you haven’t, you need to move to the new app.
I mean the Ford app. It's all up to date.

I tried to fuse pull. It did not work. TCU didn't seem to have re-set even with the fuse pull smh.

What I suspected but thought I would float it.

ChatGPT says:

The problem IS an invalid or corrupted Ford cloud provisioning token
✔ Fuse pulls cannot fix that
✔ Only FDRS (dealer/mobile tech tool) can issue a new token
✔ Your car is fully functional other than FordPass+cloud

Is this true? Does this mean someone with FDRS can help me out with this? or do I still need to go to the dealership?

Verify the gateway fuse location in your owner's manual. They are different for various years. 2021 appears to be fuse 11. My 2022 is fuse 20/21. Your 2025 may be different.
That seems like a lot of work... isn't it just easier to ask on the internet and hope someone answers? (LOL I kid)

Did you go into your connectivity menu and look for the cellular connection symbol by the Hotspot setting?
If it is connected, then it may not be a modem problem.

If your modem is showing a connection, some have had success by turning off all of the connected services sliders and turning them all back on again.

Yes, the hotspot icon shows and LTE works but that only means the modem radio connected to AT&T. Ford app requires cloud provisioning, and I think that part is broken and the modem can’t authenticate with Ford’s server. I think it unfortunately needs to be taken to a dealership and get an FDRS TCU re-provision.

Try a Sync Reset or look at Bezel diagnostics. The Bezel diagnostics has info on the modem and other stuff.

Just press and hold the buttons on the steering wheel, the Bezel diagnostic's take awhile to start.

SYNC Reset = (Next Track+Volume Down)
Bezel Diagnostics = (Previous Track+Volume Down)

True, and I hope a provisioning issue is a rare one. If you've tried the OFF/ON for all of the connected services, I would try the full 12v reset next if you haven't already (pull the negative terminal off the 12v battery for about 5 minutes then reinstall). This may clear out internal communication challenges on the MME side of the modem. Certainly, if that doesn't work, it's a trip to the dealer.

I pulled the TCU fuse, which theoretically is the same as the 12V pulling and it didn't work. I think it can only be fixed by FDRS. Fortunately it's not a pressing issue since PAAK is fine, I'll take my time going to the dealership.

Could be another module not responding. Pulling 12V will reboot everything.

UPDATE:

Ford tried to re-provision the TCU but the GWM failed and blocked it. Replaced the GWM and now everything is re-provisioned and works. It was covered under my extended warranty and cost $100 deductible.

Took mine to the dealer yesterday as well - had code U2402 in GWM. They were able to re-auth and reconfigure the TCU which was good. I chuckled at the last part where the tech told the front desk to verify I was using FP correctly with a "known good device." I'm using a Fold 7... I'm good. lol
