FordPass Not Responding today

Here's what I see on every message I open in Fordpass. S21 phone. This has been ongoing for more than a month and does not show on iOS iPad.

Also... My car preconditioned for me in the PM last night instead of the AM setting. Don't know if this is Fordpass or car but preconditioning times have been a little off the rails lately.

Was able to start remotely, which then allowed an update on car info for the first time since Saturday. However, walk away lock now does not work. PAAK did not work, but I was able to remote unlock. At the bottom of the home page of the app, there is a button to Set Up Phone as a Key, but when I attempt, it won't accept my PIN, and when I get past that, I get an error message that my key name is not a duplicate with a red triangle. Won't go to NEXT. Apparently, the app is trying to install my phone as a second key, even though my phone has worked fine for 2 years. I tried a second time and now can't get past the fingerprint scan step now. Fortuntately, my wife uses her fob in her purse approach.

i struggled with all of this for about a month and a half after taking delivery of the car. in my case it would not progress to the point where it asks for the PIN it's copied to the clipboard.

i did pull fuses 11 and 19, then i deleted fordpass from my phone and repeated the setup. i did end up with my phone listed twice, and it did reject the pairing a couple of times. eventually it took when i named the key slightly differently, though it did reject that at least once.

i can't delete that phantom key, so maybe it's in the app but not on the server or something.

anyway, this is all to say maybe keep trying even though it seems futile. i think it was probably my 10th attempt to get PAAK working when it finally worked. when i called the fordpass support people they did tell me to park outside so that there was a good cell connection. it didn't seem to matter that i'm connected to wifi in the garage. i do wonder if the wireless connection gets tied up by wireless CarPlay, leaving the cellular as the only means of communication between SYNC and ford's servers.

Anyone else getting FordPass not responding in the app this morning? No matter what I try in the app (Android, Pixel 7), I get the error banner at the top of the screen. I killed the app and re-opened it, same thing. Went out and started the car, no change in the app.

Yes, I received it — I shut everything down , did a reset and everything was good to go.

@Rudy What kind of a reset? What did you reset? Phone or app on the phone or system reset on your Mach E? Physical reset (remove battery ground and wait awhile or remove fuses and wait awhile) or module resets (using the Mach E ctrl-alt-del equivalent)?

Received a message this morning from Ford: my "Plug & Charge no longer works, call a FORDPASS Guide". How do I do that? I tried yelling really loud, but no one answered.... Had to use my start code for the first time yesterday. Fortunately I rememberd what it was and it worked...

I find this totally outrageous. Why does Ford insist on using servers powered by gerbils? They get tired, or hungry, and need a break. When they do, the servers stop functioning.

Wait, wut? Ford uses state of the art technology? Really? Do you sell bridges also?

If I were a Ford Tech executive, the unreliability of FordPass over the past few years would be totally embarrassing to me.

They're all a bunch of Dinosaurs that don't understand tech. I'm not surprised. The old mans club. Adding young blood to the mix is just too outrageous.

I’m having same issue.

I went out in the car started it check for updates. Updates were complete. I went ahead and locked it with the key and then it seems like start working after that. But I just checked it again and it said last time updated 53 minutes ago when I tried to refresh it just sits there and clocks and then it freezes.

Honey, I’m just telling you the symptoms but FordPass seems to be hung up. I mean, unless I go out in the car and start it that screen that says your battery and your miles to go it’ll refresh but then it hangs up so it’s like the app is screwing up I’ll try again to see if I can lock the car without trying to do a refresh.

So it actually let me lock the car within 10 seconds twice on the app, but that area where it shows the battery in the miles to go that says last updated an hour ago if I tried to pull down the screen to refresh that it just sits there and sits there and then the app locks up so at least I was able to lock the doors testing
