are there issues with FordPass? Since I got my vehicle a week ago I’ve been unable to set charging or departure times via the app, they can only be done in the vehicle. I’ve tried logging out, uninstalling, all to no avail.

I’m also having an issue with my home charging and finding my utility , only once did the zip code search bring back my provider and when I went to save I got the same issue — that was three days ago

haha we've had our 2023 for about a week now and we just went through the same exact thing. The fix was basically unplugging the charger (car side) and plugging it back in once or twice. It's like the car needed that to be done before it would recognize the charging location and you're basically getting that not responding error because you don't have a location set yet.

It's like the car needed that to be done before it would recognize the charging location and you're basically getting that not responding error because you don't have a location set yet.
I appreciate the response. i do not have issues viewing the charging statistics in the app while plugged in. Only managing any settings where it has to read the previously saved configurations from the vehicle. It’s pretty consistent. Whether setting departure times/days/temperature, seeing saved charging locations, viewing previous charging locations.

none of that works at all.

Try it! unplug the charging cable and plug it back in a few times and then try to do what you need to do on the app. Literally had the same problem, couldn't even set the charging to stop at 90% because "ford pass not responding blah blah". Charging details actually worked for us during this time as well.

It also happened on both my phone and the wifey phone at the sametime. I came here and searched the forums for a solution and came across someone suggesting what I suggested to you. No problems since.

This can happen if the MME's 12v battery gets low. The MME will go into deep sleep mode and turn off modules to conserve 12v power. This includes the modem which kills FordPass updates. To my knowledge, you have to start the car to get back to normal. I haven't tried the unplug/replug thing suggested by @Xanasazi but it seems that resets it too.

Causes:
  • short runs that don't fully charge the 12v battery
  • sitting for a few days without running
  • weak 12v battery shortening the time before the car goes into deep sleep
If plugged in, the MME will still drain the 12v battery unless it is actively charging the HVB so the causes above are the same plugged in or not. The good thing is the MME will charge the 12v battery when this happens.

I reached out to Ford support through the FordPass app today and did a chat session. Had a very helpful rep.

The representative suggested that I uninstall the app. Restart the phone. Then reinstall the app.

Everything is working flawlessly now!
