This sucks, still waiting on FordPass customer service to get back to me, they seem to have no idea why this is happening and how to fix it.

Its not the end of the world but it's a bummer having to walk out to the car every time I need to change a departure time.
This will suck even more when i get back to work after the holidays since I almost never know when I quit until the end of the day.
I have the same problem. Used to be able to set departure times from my phone. No more. The option shows but is non functional. As far as I am concerned the Ford Pass is the most useless app on my phone. My 2020 Explorer electronics were far more reliable than on the MachE

See my “How the Heck…” thread for more missing but simple fixes.

And now me as well. Stopped working yesterday; get this screen with no options. Shows "Fordpass isn't responding" (all other functions seem to work). @Odmark91 did you find a fix or it fixed itself with a later update to the Fordpass app?

I agree the Ford Pass app is not reliable. Ford programmers need to improve the connections between the vehicle and cell phone app and data refresh between the two. At times all functions work while at other times they do not and the information in the vehicle is accurate but is not reflected on the app. At times the departure time is set and shows in the appropriate app pane/field, other times the departure time is set but does not show or function. Worse is when the preferred charge settings are accurate but the vehicle charges to 100% instead of the set 80%. Or when I override 80% to charge up to 100%. After that trip I select to revert to charge settings, but the vehicle continues to charge up to 100% instead of stopping at 80%. Both frustrating and increases my feeling of unreliability in a system that I need to rely on.

While fordpass is crazy slow, but I don't think the team who wrote it is the only ones at fault, log on to your account in your computer and play around with things like connected services, it's equally as a slow and frustrating. Ford seem to have some pretty slow backend infrastructure. Wouldn't be surprised if that's why they are blocking third party apps from hitting their apis with little to no help on how to properly use them.

I agree with you mostly. However, the Ford programmers, build team, release team, upgrade team, i.e. all who have a role at Ford, should also conduct performance testing using multiple scenarios. At the least they should be able to inform users regarding conditions that compromise performance, refresh rates, connections, etc. As much as I want all of the software to function as a proverbial 'black box', being aware of compromising factors can help us all understand, be patient and make sense of what seems to be inconsistent performance. That is all.
Here is one example: Our garage is close enough to the house that both my and my wife's bluetooth cell phone connections can be active in the car inside the garage. She has tried to drive away while listening to my phone call through the car while I'm still in the house. Ford could explain that these conditions can occur and that shutting down and restarting the car once out of bluetooth range may be necessary to deactivate one cell phone and to activate the cell phone in the car.

I really wish that's how software development worked :(. It's really common to have a group of 3-5 devs on one app doing everything you just mentioned, all while having a laundry list of bugs they will fix based on which one is complained about the most, trying to meet unrealistic deadlines, depending on other teams in the business who want to have all their stuff black boxed because they are the experts, managers over promising features up the chain, amongst a lot of other things.

Now I'm sad it's gonna be Monday tomorrow , at least I'll have coffee to get me through it.

I hope you had a good day today. As a retired IT guy, I understand your sentiment.
